Would you provide the workflow for calculating the average energy seismic attribute in Kingdom 8.6?
I am working on fluvial characterization. I need to compare the RMS, Average Energy, and Maximum Seismic Amplitude for comparison of the reservoir sands.
Simplest way would be as follows:
– Display your seismic data
– Go to Line>Seismic Attributes>Average Energy
– It will give you the result on the fly
– Change the color bar for a better display
For the alternative way through the Trace Calculator:
– Go to Tools>Trace Calculations>Trace Calculator
– After select seismic survey and the seismic data type, click “>” to a letter on the left, i.e. “A”
– Double-click on the “AverEnergy” on the category list
– It should appear as “AverEnergy(” on the formula line
– Complete the formula as “AverEnergy(A)”
(don’t use the keyboard, instead click on the letter and “)” on keypad)
– Generate a new seismic data type as “Average Energy”
– Click Compute
